About Maul and His Scenes

The first episode in the Star Wars movie story line is The Phantom Menace, which was released in May 1999.  It is the only movie in which Darth Maul appears.

Although Maul appears in more than four scenes, there are basically four times we see him in The Phantom Menace:

• via hologram aboard the Trade Federation Battleship

• on Coruscant

• on Tatooine

• in Theed on Naboo

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and  padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi discuss Maul aboard the Naboo Starship during departure from the planet Tatooine.  Later, Jinn discusses Maul with the Jedi Council at the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant.  These interactions are listed on their own page.
